HOW LONG AM I ENTITLED TO MEDICAL CARE UNDER THE LONGSHORE AND HARBOR WORKERS' COMPENSATION ACT (LHWCA) AND DEFENSE BASE ACT (DBA)?

Video Transcription:

Under the Longshore act and Defense Base act, you're theoretically entitled to medical treatment for the work related injury for the rest of your life. You must continue to prove that the medical treatment being provided is both reasonable and medically necessary. In addition, if you aggravate or re-injure the original body part, the medical treatment will be deauthorized. The medical treatment will also cease if you settle your case or in the event of death.
